On the 27th, a press conference was held at Studio 159, Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul to announce the vision and global new work of the musical production company OD Company. Producer Shin Chun-soo attended this event.
OD Company, established in 2011, has produced musicals ‘Assassin’, ‘Nine’, ‘Contact’, ‘Titanic’, ‘Dreamgirls’, ‘Doctor Zhivago’, ‘Jekyll and Hyde’, ‘Man of La Mancha’, and ‘Sweeney Todd’. , ‘Dracula’, and ‘Death Note’ were produced.
On this day, producer Shin Chun-soo announced that his goal is to enter the Broadway theater with 'The Great Gatsby' in the fall of 2024. He said, "We are not the best, and we are not the best team working on a musical. But I think we are a team with the talent to create the best work. Isn't the best the one that everyone recognizes?"
He added, "The creative team behind 'The Great Gatsby' all debuted on Broadway, but we believe that they will prove their existence through 'The Great Gatsby' and that they will be able to become the best through this work. So, we are working hard on it."
Shin Chun-soo said, "The important thing when working on a work is to trust and rely on each other. It is no exaggeration to say that 'The Great Gatsby' is the only work that was done by me from beginning to end. It is clear that we thought about it every day and devoted ourselves to this work. “So, I think ‘The Great Gatsby’ will become a beloved IP on Broadway for a long time. We are preparing well.”
