JYP SHOP donates 100 million won worth of ‘Green Project’ profits


JYP Entertainment's official mall, JYP SHOP, donated all proceeds from the 'Green Project' and took steps to protect the environment.

JYP SHOP and Forest of Life (Chairman Heo Sang-man) recently held a donation agreement ceremony at the JYP Center in Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. The agreement ceremony on this day was prepared to donate 100 million won worth of 2022 profits from JYP SHOP's eco-friendly campaign 'Green Project'. Many executives and employees of JYP Three Sixty (JYPTS), which hosts JYP SHOP, participated and reached a consensus, including CEO Pi Hyeon-sik and Forest of Life co-CEO Kim Seok-kwon.

JYPTS CEO Pi Hyun-sik said, “We decided to sponsor the JYP SHOP 'Green Project' because we thought it was suitable for Forest of Life's 'Forest for Everyone' project, which was designed to provide citizens with a healthy urban forest experience. “We would like to especially thank the fans of JYP Entertainment artists who willingly participated in this good movement that cares about the environment.”

All proceeds from the JYP SHOP 2022 'Green Project' donated on this day will be used for Forest of Life's 'Forest for Everyone - Omok Park Remodeling Project'. Through this project, it is expected that the park located in the center of the city will not only be transformed into a healthier forest and a local communication space where anyone can rest, but will also expand its value as a green rest area within the city.

JYPTS, established in 2021 to maximize the global value of JYP Entertainment artist intellectual property rights (IP), launched its official direct-to-consumer mall (D2C) JYP SHOP in June 2022 under the slogan 'WE ARE HERE FOR THE FANS!' We place maximum value on providing new enjoyment to K-pop fans and promise to practice a continuous sharing culture. Every year, in commemoration of the official launch date of JYP SHOP, we sell special products (MD) made of eco-friendly materials and donate the proceeds to environmental organizations. We plan to carry out a 'green project'. In addition, he joined the global environmental protection organization '1% for the Planet' and continued his donation activities.

Meanwhile, JYPTS is leading the innovation and evolution of fan experiences, focusing on product planning, intellectual property rights business, and platform business that will enable global fandom connection and solidarity. It is playing a pivotal role as a strategic base for advancing global distribution of content and continuously discovering and developing new businesses.
