Comedian Sam Hammington succeeded in buying his own home with his son's appearance fee from Wilvengers.
Sam Hammington appeared as a special MC on SBS' 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny', which aired on May 1.
On this day's broadcast, Kim Gu-ra described Sam Hammington as "his son, an idiot." Jihye Lee asked, “Isn’t your profession a comedian?” Gura Kim said, “I’m a comedian. “It’s not a public recruitment, it’s a special recruitment,” he replied. Sam Hammington made everyone laugh by saying, “It’s a parachute.”
Seo Jang-hoon began by saying, “Sam Hammington has bought his own home after 20 years of living in Korea.” It's a three-story mansion with six rooms. He then asked, "Most of the cost of the house was covered by the children's appearance fees. To what extent?" Sam Hammington admitted, "It's been 8 years since our children broadcasted. William started broadcasting on the 100th day and even gave birth through Bentley's broadcast. I thought I was going to reinvest."
Seo Jang-hoon said, “There is a story that children dream of becoming the next Son Heung-min father, regardless of their will.” Sam Hammington explained, "Our children are having an ice hockey tournament in Jeonju. I went down yesterday, watched two games, and came up early in the morning for the broadcast."
Lee Hyeon-i wondered, “Are the kids good at ice hockey?” Sam Hammington said, "He's so good. William is a freshman, but he's playing games with his sophomores." He added, “Bentley has better natural athletic ability than William.” Sam Hammington laughed and said, "I'm proud. I can talk to (the kids) for an hour."
Seo Jang-hoon also mentioned Sam Hammington's mother and a casting director who discovered Hollywood actors. Seo Jang-hoon said, “If you bring cash on Mother’s Day, you will be kicked out of the door by your mother.” Sam Hammington explained, "This may be a cultural difference, but if you give cash, your pride will be slightly hurt. A gift means, 'I bought it for this person in thought.' Cash has no meaning."
Sangjin Oh said, “Isn’t it because my mother already makes good money?” Seo Jang-hoon said, “Or maybe he was annoyed because the amount was low.” Sam Hammington, who heard this, blurted out, "In hundreds." Kim Gu-ra said, “If it’s in the hundreds, that’s a lot to send. My mother prefers thoughtful gifts.”
