Kim Dong-wook suspected Jin Ki-joo.
In the 3rd episode of KBS2's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Accidentally Encountered You', which aired on the 8th, the crisis of Yoon Hae-joon (played by Kim Dong-wook) and Baek Yun-young (played by Jin Ki-joo), who went on a trip back to 1987 and adapted to a new world, was depicted. The viewership rating for the third episode was 4.0% (provided by Nielsen Korea, nationwide), ranking first in its time slot.
On this day's broadcast, Hae-joon was frustrated when his time machine car broke down and he ended up in the past, while Yoon-young declared after meeting her 19-year-old mother Lee Sun-ae (played by Seo Ji-hye), "I don't think I can go back. Because I have work to do." Determined to change the past, Yunyoung asked to create a fake identity so that she could stay in 1987. Hae-joon, who initially refused, had no choice but to let Yoon-young attend Woojeong High School where he worked when Dong-sik (played by Choi Young-woo) became suspicious of her identity. Two people with different goals became entangled as a teacher and a student.
Then, Yoon-young's father, Baek Hee-seop (played by Lee Won-jeong), transferred to the same school, and Yoon-young, who believed that her father was the cause of her mother's unhappiness, maintained a cold attitude toward him. The scene where Hee-seop gives comforting words to Yoon-young, who is grumbling as she remembers her childhood without any memories of her father, saying, “You must have missed it because you missed your father too, what must have been the circumstances?” is an inseparable father-daughter scene. The bond between them gave a strange lingering feeling.
Yoon-yeong, who was in the same class as Sun-ae, tried to protect her mother from bullying by her friends, and while doing so, she learned a shocking truth. Her boss, Go Mi-sook (played by Ji Hye-won), with whom she had worked for six years, was a classmate of Soon-ae and was asking her to ghostwrite her writing assignments. Yun-yeong was very angry when she caught a glimpse of Hyeon-jae's immaturity, which was abusive to her, as she looked down on her mother by saying, "Anyone can fix it," without showing any signs of gratitude. However, Sun-ae ignores Yun-young, saying that she does not need help, and Mi-sook also sends a cold warning to Yun-young, implying that breaking up their bad relationship will not be easy.
Yoon-yeong chased after Mi-suk and declared war not to mess with Sun-ae anymore, saying, "I will stop everything. No matter what happens." Then, an unexpected person appeared. Go Min-soo (played by Kim Yeon-woo), who revealed that he was Mi-sook's biological brother, left meaningful remarks saying that he would teach her how to deal with her younger brother. An unexpected crisis arose when Yun-young, who got into his car as if possessed, lost consciousness and was taken to his house. At this time, Hae-joon, who realized that Yoon-young had been kidnapped, stormed into Min-su's house and arrested him. When Yoon-young asked how he knew the location and came to visit him, he gave an ambiguous answer, "Because I thought it was my turn to be there," which maximized the tension.
In fact, Hae-joon was keeping an eye on the suspects of a murder case predicted to occur three days from the current point in 1987. First, Hee-seop, Yoon-young's father, Yoo Beom-ryong (played by Joo Yeon-woo), Hee-seop's classmate and last-place student in the class, and Min-su, Go Mi-sook's older brother and the person responsible for kidnapping Yoon Young, were pointed out as suspects one after another, shocking the home theater. I gave it to you. This stimulated curiosity as to who among these people would be the real culprit of the ‘Woojeong-ri Murder Case’ and the person who murdered Hae-joon.
At the end of the broadcast, the identity of Minsu, one of the prime suspects, was revealed. Minsu was charged with the ‘Woojeong-ri murder case’ and served 30 years in prison, but he was ‘prisoner number 4013’ and claimed innocence. The image of him having a conversation with Hae-joon in 2021 before leaving on a trip to the past, and the image of him coldly looking at Yun-young as he walked aimlessly in front of the bridge just before the crash overlapped to create a mysterious atmosphere.
