NewJeans' 'Super Shy' charted on the US Billboard 'Hot 100' for 8 consecutive weeks


NewJeans' 'Super Shy' continued its long-term box office success by staying on the US Billboard 'Hot 100' for eight weeks.

According to the latest US Billboard chart (as of September 9) released on the 6th (local time), NewJeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein)'s 2nd mini album 'Get Up' is one of the triple title songs. 'Super Shy' ranked 95th on the main song chart 'Hot 100'. As a result, NewJeans broke its own longest-running chart record last week and continued its record-breaking streak this week.

'Get Up' ranked 24th on the main album chart 'Billboard 200' and immediately went straight to first place (as of August 5) upon entering this chart, succeeding in charting for 6 consecutive weeks. In addition, 'Get Up' made a comeback and ranked first in 'World Album', and ranked 3rd and 4th in 'Top Current Album Sales' and 'Top Album Sales', respectively.

NewJeans also maintained good performance on the global charts targeting over 200 countries/regions around the world. 'Super Shy' ranked 7th in 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' this week and 16th in 'Global 200', maintaining its top ranking for 8 weeks, while 'ETA', another title song from 'Get Up', ranked in 'Global (excluding the U.S.)' Ranked 19th and 40th on the ‘Global 200’.

NewJeans achieved the feat of being nominated for the 'Group of the Year' category at the '2023 MTV Video Music Awards' to be held on the 12th. This is the first time that NewJeans has been nominated for a prestigious awards ceremony in the United States, an achievement that demonstrates their global status and influence within just one year of their debut.
