Jeong Gong-hwan "I wanted to do a melodrama with Kim Seo-hyung, but it's a shame."
Actor Jeong Gong-hwan shared his thoughts on working with Kim Seo-hyung in ‘Paper Moon’.

On the morning of the 15th, Jeong Gong-hwan conducted an interview commemorating the end of the Genie TV original drama 'Paper Moon' at a cafe in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.

Jeong Gong-hwan played the role of Kim Seo-hyung's husband, Choi Ki-hyeon, in the play. Fame and social success are her goals in life, and Yui-hwa is a character with a sense of entitlement. He didn't hesitate to say things that disrespected his wife and aroused the anger of viewers with his possessive attitude.

Jeong Gong-hwan said that the reason he appeared on 'Paper Moon' was because of "Senior Kim Seo-hyung." He recalled, "I once worked with senior Kim Seo-hyung in the drama 'The Good Wife.' I really liked it. So, at the end of the show, I said, 'Why don't you do a melodrama with me later?'"

As time passes, Jeong Gong-hwan and Kim Seo-hyung meet again through 'Paper Moon'. Jeong Gong-hwan said, "I was so happy when the offer for 'Paper Moon' came in. I had worked with the director once, and I was looking forward to reuniting with senior Kim Seo-hyung," but joked, "I was disappointed that it wasn't a deep melodrama."

He continued, "Senior Kim Seo-hyung was so good at leading me, so I just added on to it. Ewha's emotions continued and my words only changed depending on the changing situation, so I followed my senior."

'Paper Moon' is a suspense drama that tells the story of Yui-hwa (Kim Seo-hyung), who lived a suffocating daily life, but makes an irreversible choice when she embezzles money from VIP customers of a bank. It is based on a Japanese novel of the same name.
