Mijoo “Solo debut, it’s too late?” tear

MIJOO from Lovelyz revealed her passion for the stage.

Mijoo held a showcase commemorating the release of her first single album 'Movie Star' at 2pm on the 17th. This album is the first solo album released in 9 years since Lovelyz's debut in 2014.

On this day, Mijoo said, "I wanted to show Mijoo and singer Mijoo differently on TV. I wanted to be Mijoo who takes on new challenges on stage. So, my stage name was 'Mijoo', but as a broadcaster, I went with 'Lee Mijoo.'"

He continued, "As an entertainer, Lee Mi-joo is very friendly and communicates a lot with people. On stage, Mi-joo wanted to become an artist with a professional feel."

Mijoo shed tears, saying, "People around me say that my solo debut is late. But I don't think so. I'm just happy that I can show myself on stage even now." He also strengthened his determination, saying, "I wanted to create Mijoo's own story like this. I want to grow further and do solo performances with stories."

Mijoo also revealed her longing for the stage. He said, "When I saw other artists' performances, I just thought, 'It's pretty' and 'I want to do that too.' Now I'm happy because I can show my true self on stage."

Miju is currently working on MBC's 'What Do You Do When You Play?' with Yoo Jae-seok. Miju said, "I played the song to senior Yoo Jae-seok. He said it really suited me well. He monitored me more than I did. Thanks to that, I think I prepared the album well."

Mijoo moved to Antenna last year. He said, "Originally, my agency Antenna did not have a choreography practice room. After I came in, a choreography practice room was created. In fact, the agency was more proactive. Now that the practice room has been created, other celebrities from the agency are actually using it and showing interest in the choreography, such as dancing at concerts. “This happened,” he said.

The title song 'Movie Star' of the same name as the album is an impressive dance song with an addictive house-based disco rhythm and a catchy top line. While the rich musical elements create synergy with Miju's bright energy, Miju will provide a variety of attractions with witty point choreography that intuitively expresses the lyrics.

The music video released along with the sound source depicts Mijoo becoming a 'movie star' in a movie-like production. Antenna artist Lee Hyo-ri and actress Lee Yi-kyung make special appearances in the music video, adding to expectations.

Additionally, the album includes the ballad song 'I Miss You', which honestly expresses the feeling of missing a former lover. America's 'Movie Star' will be released on various music sites at 6 PM on this day.
