Kang Yoo-seok "Practicing action every day for 3 months"

Kang Yoo-seok revealed the preparation process for action acting in Netflix's 'Courier Driver'.

On the 19th, at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, I met actor Kang Yoo-seok, who appeared in the Netflix series 'Courier Driver'. Kang Yoo-seok takes on the role of Yoon Sa-wol, a refugee who dreams of becoming a courier in a deserted world.

Kang Yoo-seok said, "I decided to become a 'courier driver' and practiced action every day for 3 months. I think I did about 3 hours a day. I did an exercise to develop basic physical strength such as running for about an hour. I thought, 'Isn't it just a matter of matching the action well?', but when I filmed it, I understood. Even if you match the action, you need to have stamina because you have to shoot several times. I prepared while learning how to fall." He continued, "The first round of the play was filmed all day. The second round was a car chase scene, so it seems to have taken several days because there were a lot of CGs." Kang Yoo-seok cited the scene in the third game as particularly difficult. He said, “Isn’t the 3rd fight a one-on-one action? Because it was filmed on the ring, there was nowhere to hide. I memorized all the sums of and filmed without rest," he said. "The martial arts team guided me, so no one was hurt and I filmed well."

Kang Yoo-seok, who had more hit actions than hitting actions in the play. When asked if he would like to try a hitting action, he said, "I want to. But I think it's more comfortable to hit a hit than to hit. It would be nice to do cool action like 8 (played by Kim Woo-bin)."

Kang Yoo-seok, who had a lot of lines in the SBS drama 'Beopjeon' as a prosecutor, had a hard time. When asked which of the many lines and many actions is better, he said, "Isn't it better to have a hard body? Actions feel like you're exercising, so it's hard, but you can sleep well after it's over. If you have a lot of lines, it seems like your head is overloaded." he laughed.

'Courier Driver' is about the future Korean Peninsula, where people cannot live without oxygen due to extreme air pollution, and the legendary courier driver 5-8 (Kim Woo-bin) and refugee April (Kang Yoo-seok) fight against the Chunmyeong Group that dominates the new world. Netflix series depicting.
