Musical actor Bae Da-hae was saddened by Artemis' tragic love story.
In the 7th episode of MBN's 'Private Lives of the Gods-Greek Roman Myths 2' (hereinafter referred to as 'Private Lives of the Gods 2') aired on the 18th, Han Ga-in, Seol Min-seok, Kim Heon, and Lee Chang-yong, along with guest Bae Da-hae, under the theme of Artemis' anger, revenge, and love. While sharing a discourse on the story, it was portrayed that they were seriously discussing the lessons in the myth.
On this day, Professor Heon Kim said of Artemis, the goddess of chastity and the goddess of the moon, that she was “the goddess most loved by women among the main characters in Greek and Roman mythology.” Then, storyteller Seol Min-seok opened the door to a full-fledged story, saying, "It is a story that is difficult to hear without tears, which requires a handkerchief."
Artemis used to hunt in the woods, forming alliances of chastity with her female followers. Then one day, while wandering in the forest, a hunter (Actaeon) happened to see Artemis and her followers taking a bath. Upon discovering this, Artemis became enraged and threw a handful of water on the hunter. The hunter who was hit by this water immediately turned into a deer, and was bitten to pieces by his hunting dogs.
In this passage, Min-seok Seol said, “It is Artemis, the goddess of chastity, who makes a person who tries to commit a crime just by looking at her eyes.” In response to Seol Min-seok's story, Professor Kim Heon said, "In fact, Artemis also does not know whether the hunter intentionally saw (the bathing scene) or accidentally. It can be an opportunity to reflect on whether there is anything wrong," he interpreted, bringing enlightenment through Shinhwa.
On the other hand, docent Lee Chang-yong taught us how to distinguish goddesses just by the clothes that appear in art works. Bae Da-hae, who heard the exquisite analysis, agreed. He said, "I went on a honeymoon to Florence last year, and it would have been better if I had known about this in advance. It's a pity. The price of the plane is very expensive."
Seol Min-seok told the love story of Artemis. One day, Artemis met the hero Orion and fell in love. Seol Min-seok laughed by comparing the fantastic sea date of the two to the movie 'Titanic'. Eventually, Dahae Bae selected 'Nella Fantasia' as a serenade that Orion would have sung for Artemis, and sang it passionately on the spot. Orion confessed, "I want to become a star in the night sky and be by Artemis' side."
However, Apollo warned his older sister Artemis, saying, "Orion is a married man, he was cursed for raping the princess of an island, and he also made love with Eos, the goddess of dawn." However, Artemis did not believe this and tried to hold the wedding, but was shocked when Orion suddenly left with Eos. In this scene, Bae Da-hae said, "It's ridiculous. It's so shocking," and Han Ga-in was also shocked, saying, "It's creepy."
Apollo challenged Artemis to an archery match. It was to hit the black buoy that could be seen far out in the sea. Artemis hit the buoy with an arrow, and then Eos appeared and confessed, "Actually, Orion left Artemis falsely because he truly loved Artemis." Orion's body floated in front of Artemis, who learned the truth belatedly. The target he thought was a buoy was actually Orion's heart. Artemis was saddened by this, and made him a constellation as Orion wished.
At the tragic love story of Artemis, Bae Da-hae wept, saying, "I keep choking on tears." Han Ga-in also couldn't continue saying, "It's so sad." After a while, Han Ga-in regained her composure and said, “The name of NASA’s moon landing project is Artemis,” and mentioned the space project that has been going on for the first time in about 50 years. In response, Professor Heon Kim explained, "Recently, NASA announced that it would go to the moon again, and the name of the lunar lander is Orion. Orion will finally meet Artemis."
Han Ga-in put her hands together and said, "I feel like I'm going to shed tears when I watch the video of the moon landing. The two of us are finally meeting." Even Bae Da Ha smiled, saying, "It's so romantic." Looking at those who were moved, Seol Min-seok predicted the Hera episode, saying, "If Won Bin from 'Autumn in My Heart' appeared in this story, Woo-min Byun from 'Temptation of Wife' will be the next story."
