BOYNEXTDOOR, which is making a comeback on September 4, unveils a part of the new song for the first time and is ready to leap forward as a 'trustworthy and listening rookie'.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Sungho, Liu, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, Unhak) posted a track spoiler for their 1st mini album 'WHY..' on the Hive Labels YouTube channel at 11 pm on the 27th. The video, subtitled 'MISSING POSTER', depicts the journey of the members making posters and searching for lost precious objects against the backdrop of new song highlights from the new album.
The track spoiler includes parts of three new songs, including the title song 'What's Like', 'Crying', and 'ABCDLOVE'. 'What's Like' is a song that stands out with the strong electric guitar sound at the beginning. It expresses the confused feeling of wanting to see the lost love and hating it, but on the other hand, with straightforward lyrics. Myung Jae-hyeon, Tae-san, and Un-hak participated in the lyrics and composition, and the conversational lyrics that reflect the members’ everyday tone, such as “Because of you, who said he hates rough mouths / I can’t curse even when angry,” tell a story that stimulates the sympathy of youth. I hear it. BOYNEXTDOOR plans to solidify its presence as 'trustworthy BOYNEXTDOOR' by adding intense performances that deliver intuitive messages more clearly.
In "Crying" with a vintage sound that captivates ears, you can feel the empty feelings of boys going through a hard time after ending their clumsy first love, just like the lyrics, "I can't love again / I really feel like I'm going to go crazy." Another b-side song, 'ABCDLOVE', is a song that expresses the hope that the empty seat of the departed will gradually get used to by adding emotional vocals to the painted melody with a light groove. Myung Jae-hyeon, Tae-san, and Un-hak were also credited for writing lyrics and composing for 'Crying' and 'ABCDLOVE'.
BOYNEXTDOOR, which will release a new album 'WHY..' at 6 pm on the 4th of next month, will release a music video teaser for the title song 'What's Like' through the Hybe Labels YouTube channel at 11 pm on the 31st.
