YG, the meaning of accompanying the successful fans of the 'Walking Festival'

The ESG campaign 'YG Walking Festival', planned by YG in celebration of its 27th anniversary, was successfully completed, and the donations collected through it were used to practice healthy sharing.

YG Entertainment held a donation delivery ceremony for the 'YG Walking Festival' on the 24th at the new building in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul, attended by Hwang Bo-kyung, co-CEO of YG, and Ji Kyung-yeong, CEO of Oxfam Korea, an international aid and development organization. This donation will be used to improve cultural equity and digital competency strengthening education for Nepalese minority and Dalit underprivileged youth.

The 'YG Walking Festival' was planned to commemorate the footsteps of YG, which has been running for 27 years, and to practice the value of sharing with meaning in accompanying global fans. YG executives and staff members walked 10 million steps in 2 weeks and set the goal of surpassing 1,000 'Likes' with support from fans in the 'YG WITH' Instagram post.

In particular, this campaign added meaning with the voluntary participation of YG executives and fans. The number of steps taken by employees was about 22.82 million steps, a 228% achievement rate, and the number of 'likes' on posts was also seven times the original goal.

YG said, "Through this campaign, we were able to realize once again that we are accompanying fans all over the world. We hope that the sincerity of the YG family will be a little bit of strength to Nepal's minority and Dalit underprivileged youth." Starting from this year, every year We will make a meaningful anniversary for all artists, employees, and global fans."

Meanwhile, as a global cultural leader, YG Entertainment is leading the culture of sharing through various donation activities, continuous volunteering and social contribution projects, and is practicing social responsibility. Since last year, under the new slogan of 'LET NOBODY BE ALONE', it has been conducting 'Project Your Side', a social contribution activity to bridge the cultural gap and support the expansion of cultural experiences for youth.
