The police plan to decide whether to re-apply for an arrest warrant after further investigation considering the fact that Yoo Ah-in's statement is gradually changing.

Previously, Yoo Ah-in appeared at the Seoul Central District Court to review the validity of the arrest warrant. He said, "I admit to a large part of the charges. I did not attempt anything like that to get accomplices to escape." After completing the warrant review, he said, "I'm admitting a lot of the charges. I didn't even try to escape the accomplice at all. I regret (using drugs)."

The arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in was dismissed. "It is difficult to conclude that there is a concern about destroying evidence or running away," said chief judge Lee Min-su of the Seoul Central District Court, who is in charge of arrest warrants for Yoo Ah-in, who is accused of taking five types of narcotics, including hemp, propofol, cocaine, ketamine, and zolpidem. .

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety requested the police to investigate, claiming that Yoo Ah-in administered 4497 mL of propofol 73 times from January 4, 2021 to December 23, 2021. On February 5, the police executed a search warrant for Yoo Ah-in's body at Incheon International Airport and conducted a simple urine test. As a result of the analysis by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation, three types of drug substances were detected in Yoo Ah-in's hair.

Propofol, which was suspected of habitual use, as well as hemp, which was positive in urine, and another third drug component were detected. The third drug component was cocaine and ketamine. Cocaine is highly addictive and hallucinogenic, making it one of the three major drugs along with methamphetamine heroin. In addition, it was confirmed that the medical staff were also concerned about the frequent administration of propofol in several hospitals.
