Lee Na-young, comeback after 4 years "Why is it not a masterpiece? Small things are my taste"

Lee Na-young revealed the reason for appearing in 'Park Ha-kyung's Travels'.

On the 2nd, at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, I met Lee Na-young, the main character of Wave's original drama 'Park Ha-kyung's Travels'. Lee Na-young takes on the role of Park Ha-kyung, an ordinary high school Korean teacher who goes on a special day trip.

This work is Lee Na-young's comeback work after 4 years since the drama 'Romance is a Bonus Book'. Regarding the reason for choosing a work with a small charm rather than a masterpiece, Lee Na-young said, “That is my taste. I thought it was suitable. The material was comfortable, so I thought that various people would sympathize with it. It was a perfect work for me."

This drama is also Lee Na-young's first OTT work. Lee Na-young said, “(Being an OTT work) has its pros and cons. I wonder where to see the results. Since Demic, the contents of OTT and media have changed a lot. We are getting used to it little by little, and the genre and material of the work are diversifying. There is not much that I paid more attention to because of OTT. Because the genre and material have diversified, I have broadened myself in the work. I have a feeling," he said. He then laughed, saying, "I seem to move forward simply by looking at the scenario. I'm a bit simple."

Regarding the preparation process, "When I first saw the scenario, I thought that there would be nothing to do. I thought that it would be good to just make a blank expression. I thought it would be a big deal while having a scenario meeting with the director and writer for episodes 1-8. 'How do I fill this out?' I want to," he said. He continued, "In a way, it's like when I'm filming the comic genre. Rather than preparing, it's more fun to come out of the atmosphere and breathing with the other actor on the set. I was rather nervous because I didn't have any emotions to prepare." Also, he said, "Our drama is a work that can be seen in a daze. I hoped that viewers would be able to relate to the atmosphere of this work even if they did not relate to Park Ha-kyung because there was a strange blank space."

'Park Ha-kyung's travelogue' depicts the unexpected moments and miraculous encounters of Korean language teacher Park Ha-kyung, who goes on a one-day trip on Saturday when she wants to disappear. It was released on Wave on May 24th.
