Singer and actor Uhm Jung-hwa confessed about his childhood.
Recently, a video titled 'Hong Jin-kyung, Jung Jae-hyung, Cha Jeong-suk' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Study King Genius Hong Jin-kyung'.
In the released video, Uhm Jung-hwa introduces her home and eats wild ginseng sent by her mother from the refrigerator. He asked his mother, "Do you wash this before eating? How should I eat it?", and after hearing the answer, he shared it with the staff.
He also revealed his dressing table. The wedding photos of the parents on the dressing table caught the eye. He said, "I and Taewoong resemble our father, and my older sister and younger sister resemble their mother. My father passed away early. My mother was 28 years old, and the youngest was less than 100 days old."
Uhm Jung-hwa said that her father died when she was six years old. He said, "If you think about it, four babies at 28? How did you raise them?" He said, "I lived with my mother and five. I was in Jecheon until the 1st year of high school. The house was only one room. At that time, I didn't know how small it was."
He added, "When I was in the first year of high school, the situation at home suddenly deteriorated, so I moved to Wonju, and my mother went to Seoul to work, and we lived by ourselves for a year. I was the girl's breadwinner."
The staff who heard this said, "I talk calmly." Uhm Jung-hwa said, "Actually, those days were not unfortunate for me. Rather, I miss them at times."
He also mentioned his recent work, 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook'. He talked about the scene that he found the most fun. Uhm Jung-hwa said, "'My husband? He's dead.' I laughed a lot during the script reading. He said the script was so fun. He is a writer who is a writer Jeong Yeo-rang, but he is a writer who has entered the industry. He said he thought of me a lot while writing this book."
As his life song, he chose the title song of his first album, 'Eye Pupil'. Uhm Jung-hwa said, "When I was thinking about my first album, I wasn't confident in expressing myself. At that time, innocent and delicate female singers were very popular."
He also explained, “I didn’t even look innocent and pitiful, so I was wondering what style should I go for, but it seemed like I found myself while meeting ‘Eye Pupil’.”
