Students in their 2000s who do not know about the 2000s are determined to capture the hearts of all generations with the end of the century concept. This is The New Six (TNX), a group that has passed the first anniversary of their debut. If they showed a refreshing charm in the previous activities, this time they will present a retro sensibility with the Y2K concept.

On the 7th, The New Six's third mini-album 'BOYHOOD' comeback showcase was held at Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The New Six is a boy group introduced by P Nation, headed by Psy. Among the 6 members, Chun Jun-hyeok decided to focus on treatment due to health problems and will not be with him for this activity.

'Boyhood' is an album that tells the story of six boys from different backgrounds and regions, living their own lives, gathering together for the same dream and goal, forming a team, relying on each other, and growing together.

The New Six's comeback is about 3 months since the 2nd mini album in February. Woo Gyeong-jun said, "I promised my fans that I would come see them soon, and I'm glad I was able to keep that promise. I had to prepare for a comeback in three months, so I steadily prepared an album while promoting my second album. I like the song, so I thought I wanted to show it to my fans quickly. It was great," he said of his comeback.

The members expressed regret that Chun Jun-hyeok could not participate in this activity together due to health problems. Choi Tae-hoon said, "I have been digesting the schedule for the 3rd album step by step while undergoing treatment and recovery at a specialized medical institution. Jun-hyeok's will (to be active) was strong. However, it was judged that it would be difficult to combine treatment and promotion for the activities that will follow the album release. After discussing with the company and us, we decided to focus on recovery. We ask for your understanding." Oh Seong-jun said, "Jun-hyuk will keep his brother's place and try to show us a good image. We are waiting for the day when his health is restored and we can all perform together. We are in constant contact with Jun-hyeok-hyung. We support each other. We decided to become this," revealing a strong teamwork.

Regarding the concept of this album, Oh Seong-jun explained, "We focused on reinterpreting popular music in the 80s and 90s in a modern way and showing a future-oriented image." He also said, "I'm working on it thinking that it's 1993, not 2023." Choi Tae-hoon said, "We planned this album in retro style. Retro is a genre that can encompass various generations. Through this album, we hope that many people can enjoy music with us. It is also our goal. I hope you enjoy it."

Oh Seong-jun said, "I looked up a lot of reference videos to properly immerse myself in this concept. The senior I wanted to resemble the most was Deuce senior. I looked for 'In the summer'. He was trendy and sensational. I practiced a lot after seeing Deuce senior." Eunhui said, "The CEO (Psy) puts his heart into every song. He even checks the final mastering sound source. This album is about bringing the concept of the times that the CEO knows better than we do. The warm lyrics that were written at the time were written in detail. I was able to participate in production, such as writing lyrics, and I am always learning a lot. It is an honor just for the CEO and other famous producers to let me participate." He continued, "Ever since I heard the title song, it was different. I thought it would work. It was difficult to continue working during the promotion, but I enjoyed it."

For this new album, G'harah "PK" Degeddingseze, known as the producer of world-renowned pop artist Chris Brown, famous American producer Mike Daly, and Swedish producer team BANGERS&CA$H worked together. Producer Psy participated in writing the lyrics for the title song, "Kick It for Now," and member Eun-Hwi assisted in producing.

Eunhui said, "I expressed my opinion on previous albums, but this time the company accepted my opinion more." He also hoped, "I'm pouring my heart into music. CEO Psy is also working hard to put only good songs on the album. I hope people hear that I trust and listen to them." Choi Tae-hoon said, "This time, my goal is to make music that encompasses generations. Although it is expressed in a standardized modifier, I want to hear that I am making music that encompasses various generations."

The New Six originally worked as TNX, abbreviation of "THE NEW SIX", but this time they decided to promote under their full name. Chang Hyeon-soo said, "I've been working under the full name of TNX, The Newsix. I came to use the full name to show the sensitivity of the original team name and to convey the meaning of growing together with the same generation."
