Additional suspicions were raised that singer Lee Sun-hee embezzled company money.
On the 8th, a media reported that, borrowing the words of a real estate agent, Lee Seon-hee handled the interior expenses of a redeveloped apartment located in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul in 2014 with money from One Entertainment, which she operated. It is said that the repair cost alone exceeded about 10 million won.
A real estate official told the media, “This apartment was not used as a studio for Lee Sun-hee or a practice room for aspiring singers.
Lee Sun-hee's side did not reveal any particular position in this regard.
This is not the first time Lee Seon-hee has been accused of embezzlement. In May, Lee Sun-hee was investigated by the police for about 12 hours on charges of embezzling funds from One Entertainment, an entertainment agency founded in 2013. They are accused of stealing company money by falsely listing employees in entertainment agencies. Lee Sun-hee is known to have denied the allegation of embezzlement during the police investigation, saying that she did not intervene in management at all.
One Entertainment was an agency that operated until August of last year. Lee Seon-hee served as CEO, and Lee Sun-hee's daughter, Yoon Mo, and Lee Sun-hee's agency, Hook Entertainment CEO Kwon Jin-young, were listed as in-house directors, but withdrew from their directorships in January 2019 and mid-year last year, respectively.
Last month, Dispatch reported that there were suspicions that Lee Seon-hee received about 4.3 billion won from Hook Entertainment for 10 years in the name of vocal lessons and consulting fees for singers.
Regarding this, Lee Seon-hee's legal representative said, "We ask for your understanding that it is difficult to explain the details of the case under investigation, and we hope that the police's wise judgment will resolve misunderstandings about Lee Sun-hee." "We ask that you do not damage the reputation of artist Lee Sun-hee with speculative content that is different from the facts."
