Detective Park Mi-ok, 'Korea's first female homicide squad leader', revealed that many female characters in various dramas and movies have her as a motif.

Detective Park is a person who wrote a new history of female detectives by changing the records she set in Korea, such as the first female homicide chief, the first female drug crime investigation team leader, and the first female homicide chief. She is known as the 'legend of policewoman' who took charge of cases that shook Korea, such as the escaped prisoner Shin Chang-won case and the serial killer Jeong Nam-gyu case. He is now said to have retired.
Detective Park revealed the full story of the legendary incident in which he was greeted 90 degrees by escaped prisoner Shin Chang-won. He vividly described the situation at the time, "After Shin Chang-won was arrested, I met him at the prison where Shin Chang-won was imprisoned. Seeing me, he jumped up and said hello. When I asked if he knew me, he said he had seen him in a beauty salon magazine."
Detective Park drew attention by playing a decisive role in catching Shin Chang-won, who was arrested after 907 days of jailbreak. He said, “In order to catch Shin Chang-won, I made a checkpoint distribution related to Shin Chang-won with the information I gathered while meeting 10 Shin Chang-won lovers, and that became the reporting point for the first informant who reported Shin Chang-won.”
Detective Park shared an anecdote that came under criticism for an unconventional personnel transfer when she was appointed as the first female homicide chief at the Gangnam Police Station in 2011. He said, “At that time, I heard sarcastic remarks from a reporter, ‘Is it a lipstick policy? Then, he said, "I would accept that reporter if my investigative skills were not good, but if not, I told him to look into me again and come back, saying that he had made a demeaning remark against women." aroused
Detective Park, who was also the first female drug crime investigation team leader in Korea, added interest by telling the tension-filled confrontation situation when she beat the drug master and gangster boss she arrested.
Detective Park is said to have consulted on many movies and dramas. He explained, "There are many dramas that I've been inspired by. The drama 'Hit' starring Goh Hyun-jung is based on the Jung Nam-gyu incident. The drama 'Signal' (starring Kim Hye-soo) is a dramatization of an American incident that I experienced." Detective Park is also said to have been the motif for Sojin Kim's role in the drama 'Those Who Read the Heart of Evil'.
Detective Park revealed that he had been directly contacted by Kim Eun-hee, who wrote 'Signal'. He said, "The writer's first words were, 'What is the American story that remains in your heart?'".
