Singer Nam Tae-hyun, a former member of the group Winner, spoke about the difficulties caused by drug addiction.
Nam Tae-hyun appeared on KBS1's current affairs program 'Tracking 60 Minutes', which aired on the afternoon of the 14th. Nam Tae-hyun is being investigated without detention for using methamphetamine with Seo Min-jae, an influencer from Channel A's 'Heart Signal 3'.
Nam Tae-hyun was receiving treatment while staying at Incheon Dark, a private rehabilitation facility for drug addicts. Nam Tae-hyun, who debuted as Winner at the age of 20, said that he started taking drugs after taking appetite suppressants and sleeping pills for the next 7 years. Nam Tae-hyun said that he took the medicine given at the hospital, "The more he took it, the worse it got. If he eats, he becomes hazy, if he eats, he wakes up. When his body gets used to these things, it seems that the thought 'drugs are no big deal' comes naturally."
Nam Tae-hyun, who gradually became addicted to drugs, said, "All I had was a craving for drugs. As a result, I became distant from my family and all the people around me disappeared, so I asked the teacher to stay here." I don't have confidence," he confessed, adding to his regret.
Nam Tae-hyun was also suffering from the hardships of life. He replied, "The money has not been paid. The card value of 300,000 won has not been paid." "In hand? No money in hand. I am going to work here now. I am going to work in the kitchen at a restaurant while staying at Dark."
Nam Tae-hyun continued, "If you add up all the debts you have now, it seems to be about 500 million units. Because of the controversy while using drugs, there are many violations of contracts, so I have to pay a penalty. So now I have to give up the house I was living in, and my parents I gave up the house I lived in. It's all gone."
