Actors Lee Da-hae and Lee Dong-wook will come together to appear in a new TV series.
A press release by the upcoming show’s broadcaster MBC said on Thursday that the two will star in weekend drama “Hotel King” (translated title) set to premiere on March 29.
Lee Da-hae will play the inheritor of Korea’s only seven-star hotel who lives a much sheltered life until one day, the hotel faces a crisis and she struggles to protect it.
Lee Dong-wook will take on the cool-headed manager of that hotel who actually hides a pain from his past.
The drama itself will revolve around the hotel’s inheritor who struggles to protect the hotel and the manager of that hotel who becomes enemies with his father for that woman.
Lee Da-hae, who made her debut in 2001, rose to stardom in Korea and throughout Asia with SBS’s popular series “My Girl” in 2005, the project she also worked on with Lee Dong-wook. Her last role was in KBS’s “IRIS 2″ early last year.
Lee Dong-wook made his debut in 1999 and has since starred in a number of films and dramas. His last project was KBS series “Fugitive of Joseon” last year.
