Korean actress Kim Hye-soo proved herself worthy of her reputation as one of Korea’s best actresses by taking the top prize of KBS’ annual drama awards with her first KBS drama in 10 years.

Kim received the grand prize of the year 2013 for her role as multi-talented contract worker Miss Kim in KBS’s primetime series “The Queen of Office” at the 2013 KBS Drama Awards, held at the KBS Open Hall on December 31 last year.

About receiving the top honor at the channel 10 Years after her winning drama “Jang Hee-bin,” where she took on role as the Joseon Dynasty’s femme fatal Hee-bin, Kim delivered an acceptance speech in sharp manner just like her pants suit, not a typical long dress for awards.

“I appreciate to people who helped me to meet this refreshing and special drama, ‘The Queen of Office.’ The drama helped me to realize that our job is cooperation more than any other time. I appreciate to my co-actors and staff members, who helped me to focus on acting,” the 44-year-old actress said.

She continued to carry on her appreciation to the series that, “It was lucky for me to meet the TV series which can look back myself and around me. I also hope that there will be many fun and exciting yet healthy dramas which helped us to look around us in the future.”

KBS’s two popular dramas last year, namely “Good Doctor” and “Secret Love,” proved their great popularity by each taking home seven trophies.
