Korean actress Cho Yeo-jeong has been cast in a new action film starring Ryu Seung-ryong.
Cho confirmed her role in Ryu’s new film, tentatively titled “Point Blank,” the actress’s agency Didim 531 announced through a press release Wednesday.
The film will be a remake film of 2011 French action-thriller of the same title directed by Fred Cavaye. The story centers on a resident doctor whose wife near her time is abducted by a killer.
Cho will play the abducted wife named Hee-joo, while Ryu will be playing the killer. The resident doctor role went to actor Lee Jin-wook of tvN drama “Nine: 9 Times Time Travel.”
The upcoming film, which will mark Cho’s first time taking a part in an action film will soon start filming.
Cho also recently joined R-rated romance film, whose title translated into “Human Addiction” with actor Song Seung-heon. With “Point Blank” and “Human Addiction” the actress will be active on the Korean film scene untill next year.
