Actor Lee Sang-woo has been cast as the main character to a weekend series set to air in January, according to his agency Humane Entertainment.
A press release by Humane said on Wednesday that Lee will star in “The Supper of the Gods” (translated title) which will revolve around two female chefs of traditional Korean food.
Lee will play a character named Do-yoon who has turned his back on his mother, the head of a food company.
He will also transform from one doing chores at a restaurant to a competent businessman in order to win the heart of the woman he loves.
Actor Joo Sang-wook and actress Seo Hyun-jin have already been set for the show while singer-turned-actress Sung Yu-ri is considering the main female lead role.
Lee, 31, made his debut through a TV series in 2005 and currently appears in SBS TV series “Thousand Days Promise.”
