Major broadcaster KBS has decided to extend popular series “Babyfaced Beauty” by two episodes.
An official with the show’s producer said Friday that the drama will now run till episode 20 “as a reflection on opinion that 18 episodes would be an awkward place to end the series and the show’s ratings rising.”
The romantic comedy had kicked off with a viewership rating of around 6 percent on May 2 but gradually rose and surpassed the 15 percent mark on its 12th episode this week to make it the No. 1 drama in the Monday and Tuesday primetime slot.
With the show extended, Ji Seung-il (played by Ryu Jin) will stand out more out and his love triangle with Lee So-young (Jang Nara) and Choi Jin-wook (Choi Daniel) will be dealth with more depth, the official explained.
“Babyfaced Beauty,” about the life and success of a thirty-something single woman, tells of a woman played by Jang, who fakes her age to get a job in a fashion company.
The show also stars Kim Min-seo and will now run till July 5.
