K-pop girl group f(x) is coming back to the music scene next Thursday with a new pop dance tune.
The five-member group is set to give their comeback performance for their new title tune “Rum Pum Pum Pum” on Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” next Thursday, their agency SM Entertainment said in a press release Friday.
The title track to their second studio album “Pink Tape,” set to roll out four days after the girls give their first performance, will be a pop dance tune containing guitar sounds and a funky percussion rhythm, mixed with rhythmic marching band sounds.
“Rum Pum Pum Pum” sings about one’s belated first love by comparing it to wisdom teeth (the song’s Korean title) which begin to emerge later than other teeth.
On Wednesday, the five-member group signaled their return to the music scene for the first time in a year with a two-minute art film showing the dreamy concept of the upcoming album.
