Korean boy group EXO will perform at the closing ceremony of this year’s Summer Universiade games.
EXO will be the only K-pop star to perform at the closing event of the 27th Summer Universiade in Russia’s Kazan on July 17, announced the group’s agency SM Entertainment through a press release on Wednesday.
The 12-member group will heat up the closing ceremony with their hit song “Wolf,” the title track from their first full-length album “XOXO(Kiss&Hug)” released May 30.
The 2013 Summer Universiade opened on Saturday and will close next Wednesday. The closing ceremony will go on air live on 180 countries around the world.
EXO, who debuted last year, took their first-ever wins on the music shows of Korea’s main broadcasters in mid-June with “Wolf.”
The album also won them the top spot on Billboard’s latest World Album chart for the week of June 16 to 22.
