Korean actor Yu A-in has bid farewell to fans of his drama “Jang Ok Jeong.”
Yu posted a photograph of himself with the cast and crew of “Jang Ok Jeong” on his Instagram account on Wednesday, along with the word, “Bye!”
The Monday and Tuesday drama closed its curtains this week after close to three months of showing on major broadcasting channel SBS.
Then through a tweet the same day, he also wrote, “Nobody can guarantee that what we distorted may actually have been the truth or if it’s just a fixed idea…… But I was happy to play a completely new King Sukjong.”
The show that attempted to provide a reinterpretation of Jang Hui-bin, an actual royal concubine during Korea’s Chosun Dynasty who has also been considered one of the most evil people during the period, had been criticized by some for distorting history.
