K-pop girl group SISTAR has proven their broad popularity again by sweeping the trophies of all weekend TV music shows.
SISTAR’s newest title tune “Give It To Me” topped major TV music shows Mnet’s “M! CountDown” on Thursday, MBC’s “Music Core” on Saturday and SBS’s “Inkigayo” on Sunday, while KBS’s “Music Bank” took a break due to the channel’s live broadcasting of a soccer game.
Overwhelmed by their very first win on TV music shows with the hit tune, member Soyou said on Mnet’s music show “We’re totally grateful for our surprise winning. We’ll do our best to show our best performances and not let you down.”
The female quartet, who also beat out boy bands EXO and MBLAQ by a wide margin and topped “Music Core” two days later, delivered their acceptance speech with a rather relaxed manner and shared the joy with other participants.
SISTAR took on the honor again on SBS’s weekly music show on Sunday after competing with other girl groups After School and Rainbow. SISTAR’s leader and main vocalist Hyolyn dedicated their win to the choreographer and songwriters of “Give It To Me” and their fans.
