Lee and Kim’s upcoming film, tentatively titled “Monster,” shot its first scene with the twosome at a rural town in the city of Chuncheon last week, the film’s distributor Lotte Entertainment said in a press release Monday.
The thriller pic centers around brutal murderer Tae-soo [Lee] and strong-hearted girl Bok-sun [Kim], who lost her only younger sister to Tae-soo.
Lee, who portrayed an off-the-wall vocalist in series “Shut Up Flower Boy Band” last year, is going to show a very different image from his past roles by having built his physique through dietary treatment and exercise.
Director Hwang In-ho, who was in charge of Lee’s 2011 romantic horror film “Spellbound,” will take charge of the megaphone for “Monster.”
He revealed his confidence regarding the film by saying in the statement, “It’s a movie that’ll show you creative and intense characters that you’ve never seen before.”
The thriller film with a touch of humor is slated to open in the theaters at the end of this year.
