Shooting of a new Korean actioner, “Punisher” [translated title] starring Yang Dong-geun, Joo Sang-uk and Lee Tae-im began on December 17 at a bar in the Gangnam area of Seoul.
Produced by film company, Enbricks Pictures, the action thriller centers around a man who, bullied at school, grows up to seek revenge on a fellow student who made his school years a living hell.
Korean actor/rapper Yang Dong-geun plays Chang-shik, an ex-bully who has forgotten about his past life and is now living an ordinary life. The character of Jun-seok, the boy who was bullied at school, is played by Joo Sang-uk, an actor who gained recognition with MBC`s TV drama, “Queen Seon Deok”.
Actress Lee Tae-im who starred in “S.I.U` last year plays the part of Chang-shik`s fiancee.
“Punisher” is set to be released in Korea in the first half of 2013.
