A new actioner, “The Classmates” [translated title] starring Big Bang’s T.O.P, finished filming in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province in Korea on January 21.
“I really appreciate all the efforts that our crews made. I’m happy to finish shooting without getting hurt,” T.O.P said.
Distributed by Showbox, the melodrama action pic centers around Myeong-hoon, a North Korean spy played by T.O.P. He illegally crosses the Korean border to save his sister, while working as an assassin.
T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung-hyeon, broke into the entertainment industry as a member of five-member group Big Bang.
He made his acting debut in 2007 appearing in the KBS drama “I Am Sam” and starred in “IRIS” and “71: Into The Fire.”
Meanwhile, “The Classmates” is slated to open in Korean theaters in the first half of this year.
