Jung Kyoung-ho is returning to the big screen with Ha Jung-woo’s first directorial debut film.
Jung, who was discharged from his two-year mandatory military service in September, has been cast as one of the male leads in “Human and Typhoon” [translated title], his agency Fantasio said in a statement Thursday.
“I’m so honored for starring in my labelmate Ha’s first directorial film. I’ve been longing for acting for a very long time. I hope to go back to the film scene and team up with other actors as soon as possible,” Jung revealed his excitement.
In the upcoming comedy set to crank in the end of November, the actor will play an arrogant Hallyu star named Ma Joon-kyu getting on a plane flying from Seoul’s Kimpo Airport and Tokyo. The passengers and flight crews panic and come into conflict.
Jung and Ha’s movie is expected to hit local theaters in the second half of next year.
