Korean actress Kong Hyo-jin has confirmed her role in a new movie alongside “Eungyo” actor Park He-il.
Her agency Soop Entertainment said in a press release Monday that Kong will be starring in “Aging Family [tentative title],” set to crank in early October.
“I went through the whole scenario as soon as I received it. I think it is a good opportunity to team up with director Song Hae-seong,” Kong was quoted as saying.
“Aging Family,” based on the popular Korean novel of the same name by Cheon Myeong-kwan, will portray various incidents happening to one strange family composed of people in their 40s.
Kong Hyo-jin kicked off her acting career by starring in the horror pic “Memento Mori” (1991) and has since appeared in numerous television dramas and films.
Some of her most notable movies include movies “Family Ties” (2006), “Crush and Blush” (2008) and “Love Fiction” (2012). Kong is currently promoting “577 Project” with actor Ha Jung-woo since its first premiere on August 30.
