Family drama “My Husband Got a Family” has successfully closed its curtains after the seven-month run atop the weekly TV ratings chart.
KBS “My Husband” stretched its winning streak for the 25th consecutive week last weekend, registering 45.8 percent of the total viewers, according to data accumulated by TNmS [Total National Multimedia Statistics] Monday.
The weekend show, starring Kim Nam-joo and Yoo Jun-sang, happily ended its story with Yoon-hee [played by Kim] and Gui-nam [played by Yoo] carrying a baby and Jae-yong [played by Lee Hee-joon] and Yi-suk [played by Cho Youn-hee] getting married.
Taking over the empty slot on KBS, “My Daughter Seo-young [translated title],” starring actor Park Hae-jin, actress Lee Bo-young, and boy band CNBLUE’s Lee Jung-shin, will ambitiously air the first episode on September 15.
KBS daily TV series “Reaching for the Stars,” which is expected to take over the No.1 spot on the chart, remained at the second place by recording 28.2 percent in ratings last week.
KBS’s drama “Bridal Mask” and comedy program “Gag Concert” each ranked at No. 3 and No. 4 on the chart this week by recording 25.8 and 24.2 percent.
“KBS 9 o’clock News” drew in 21.7 percent of the total audience and rounded off the top five on the weekly chart.
Other notable programs in the top ten include SBS’ variety show “I Like Sundays,” MBC’s weekend TV series “May Queen,” MBC’s daily TV series “Angel’s Choice,” MBC’s comedy show “Infinite Challenge,” and KBS’s variety show “Happy Sunday.”
Meanwhile, AGB Nielson Media Research’s data reported this morning showed similar figures to the TNmS.
With “My Husband Got a Family” standing strong atop the weekly ratings chart with 41.4 percent, “Reaching for the Stars” and “Gag Concert” claimed the No. 2 and No. 3 title on the chart, drawing in 26.4 and 22.3 percent of the viewers respectively.
