With the soaring popularity of KBS’ “My Husband Got a Family,” local media’s speculations regarding the broadcaster extending its original 50 episodes began to surface and the officials has denied about the rumor going around the web.
“There were conversations about it between the producers and the casts, but it was just a part of a discussion about the series’ overall plans,” an official from the drama’s promotion firm, 3HW, told 10Asia in a brief telephone interview on Tuesday.
She did mention about the possibilities, however, about extending the show, only if the cast members are able to adjust their schedules to shoot for further episodes.
“My Husband Got a Family,” starring Yoo Jun-sang and Kim Nam-ju, has been maintaining its reign atop weekly TV ratings chart for the last few months.
Keeping the numbers stable between 30 and 40 percent throughout the run, the weekend hit series had peaked up to 36.4 percent last weekend, according to data polled by TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics).
